Aaspere Kattentack
Aaspere took its Estonian name from the von Hastfer family, who held it until the early 1700s. Late in that century the von Dellingshausens bought it and turned a modest house into a grand mansion fronted by columned porticoes. A fire gutted it in 1966, but it is still counted among the finest Classical houses in Estonia.

Good to know The last owner, Eduard von Dellingshausen, was the final head of the Estonian Knighthood. Three larch avenues lead to the estate; the longest runs about 2.1 km. The largest pond has two islands, and an obelisk stands in the park.
