Põhjaka Pochjak

Põhjaka was split off from Koordi manor in 1813. Before the 1919 expropriation it was a secondary manor of Palu and belonged to Leo von Stackelberg. The house is a one-story Early Classical stone building with a half-hipped roof, built around 1820. Unusually, its richly decorated main door is set in the end wall.

Today
The manor is privately owned. Some years ago the house was partly vandalized, and among other things its finely decorated front door was smashed. Most outbuildings are gone; a Gothic Revival water mill survives on the Esna River a kilometer to the southwest.
