Lelle was first recorded in 1559; historically it belonged to Pärnumaa. At different times it was owned by the Staudens, the Pilar von Pilchaus and the Stackelbergs, and from 1870 until 1919 by the Hoyningen-Huenes. They probably built the stately exposed-brick Historicist main house in the 1870s. The house was two stories at its right end and one story elsewhere, with a three-story tower crowned by a pointed spire rising at its center.
Only the two-story right-hand section was rebuilt; of the left half only the foundations and cellars remain. The manor is privately owned and set in a large, varied park in hilly country.
