Kurna was first recorded in 1384, when it belonged to the Treydens. In 1670 Otto Wilhelm von Fersen acquired it, and after the Great Northern War it passed through the Wrangells, the Schlippenbachs, the Derfeldens and the Lantinghausens. In 1828 Helene von Knorring bought the manor. In the later 1800s a flat-roofed timber Historicist house was built, two stories at the ends and one in the middle, with a long one-story wing joined to its right end. Facing it across the forecourt stood a granary and a stable and carriage house, each with a pediment and a half-round window.
Only the right-hand wing and a few charred ruins remain. Most outbuildings are in ruins or gone, and the Tallinn ring road built in the 1960s cuts across the north side of the manor center.
