Keila Vassal Castle Kegel
Keila castle was probably built by the Kegel family in the late 1300s or early 1400s, and in 1433 the castle and its estate were sold to the Livonian Order. It was rebuilt many times and probably remained in use into the 1600s and 1700s. Later its walls lay under an overgrown mound in the manor park, until in 1976 Heino Gustavson rediscovered the foundations, more than a meter thick, of a square fortified house.
