Saksi esmateated pärinevad 1505. aastast, kui mõis kuulus Taubedele. 1620. aastal läks see Uexküll-Güldenbandidele, 1800. aastal Jacob Gustav von Baggehufwudtile ja 1824. aastal krahvinna Louise Zoege von Manteuffelile. 1904. aastal omandas Saksi koos naabermõisatega Margarethe von Brevern, kellele mõis kuulus kuni 1919. aastani. Kahekorruseline klassitsistlik peahoone ehitati 1810.–1820. aastatel; eeskoda, palkon ja terrassid lisati 20. sajandi algul.

Täna 1984. aasta tulekahjus hävisid kogu sisekujundus ning laed ja katused. Hoone on eravalduses, kuid sisetööd on senini tegemata.

The earliest records of Saksi date from 1505, when the manor belonged to the Taubes. In 1620 it passed to the Uexküll-Güldenbands, in 1800 to Jacob Gustav von Baggehufwudt and in 1824 to Countess Louise Zoege von Manteuffel. In 1904 Margarethe von Brevern acquired Saksi along with neighboring estates, and she owned it until 1919. The two-story classical main house was built in the 1810s–1820s; the porch, balcony and terraces were added in the early 1900s.

Today A fire in 1984 destroyed the entire interior along with the ceilings and roofs. The building is privately owned, but the interior has yet to be restored.
