Porkuni linnus Borkholm
Tallinna piiskop Simon von der Borch laskis 1477–1479 ehitada Porkuni järve kaldale künkale linnuse, mis sai nime tema järgi: Borchholm ehk Borchi saar. Ebakorrapärase nelinurkse laagerkastelli nurki kaitsesid suurtükitornid ja väravatorni ehtisid piiskopkonna ja von der Borchide vapid. 1558. aastal vallutasid linnuse Moskva väed ja see jäi varemetesse.
Täna Alles on vundamendid ja väravatorn, kus tegutseb Porkuni Paemuuseum.

Porkuni Castle Borkholm
Bishop Simon von der Borch of Tallinn built a castle on a hill by Lake Porkuni in 1477–1479, and it took his name: Borchholm, “Borch’s island.” Cannon towers guarded the corners of its irregular square, and the gate tower bore the arms of the bishopric and the von der Borch family. Muscovite troops took the castle in 1558, and it fell into ruin.
Today Foundations and the gate tower survive; the tower houses the Porkuni Limestone Museum.
