Pootsi Podis
Founded in the late 1500s, the manor received from the von Lilienfelds a Classical stone house with a four-column portico, so like Voltveti’s that both are thought to be one builder’s work. From 1856 to 1939 Pootsi belonged to the von Maydells. At the crossroads nearby, an old stone inn still shows its rare geometric stonework.

Good to know The stone inn’s facade has geometric stone patterns rare in Estonia. Its portico so closely matches Voltveti’s that the same builder is suspected. The last half kilometer of the road is lined with an avenue.
