In the 1600s Partsi manor belonged to Johann Skytte, the founder of the University of Tartu, and at the end of that century to the Koskulls. After the Great Northern War it changed hands several times until it was acquired in 1820 by the Samson von Himmelstjernas. From 1840 until expropriation in 1919 it belonged to the Muethels; the last owner was Wilhelm von Muethel. The house is a one-story fair-faced brick building from the second half of the 1800s. Its Historicist facade is marked by two large gables at the ends, and a small canopy shelters the central entrance.
The house survives more or less in its original form, but it has long stood empty and has probably been looted over the years: in 2001 it still had its windows, by 2006 it no longer did. A couple of outbuildings also survive in altered form. For many years the house also held the Partsi school.

Good to know
In the 1600s the manor belonged to Johann Skytte, governor-general of Livonia and chancellor of the University of Tartu.
For many years the house held the Partsi school.
Over the years the arborvitae hedge in front of the house grew so tall and dense that the house could only be photographed from a distance.
