Lohu Loal
Lohu was founded in the 1620s by Hans von Maydell on a medieval mill site. In the 1780s Otto Wilhelm von Krusenstern built a two-story house whose hall was decorated in 1791 with grisaille paintings by Christian Gottlieb Welté. They were later covered by Paris scenic wallpapers based on Don Quixote. The explorer Adam Johann von Krusenstern also lived here for a time.
