Linnamäe manor was created in 1748, when it was split off from neighboring Vaabina. From 1836 until 1919 it belonged to the Maydells. Completed in 1847, the grand Neo-Renaissance house had two parts: a two-story section on the left and a long one-story section on the right. A slender three-story tower rose at the center. The Maydell coat of arms adorns the gable of the two-story section.
Only the left-hand two-story part of the house survives; since World War II it has served as a post office and a shop. The manor is privately owned. Only scant traces of the outbuildings remain.
