Kuigatsi Kuikatz
Kuigatsi was first recorded in 1509. It belonged first to the Dumpians and later to the Dückers. In the 1700s it was owned by the Löwensterns, who gave it the German name Löwenhof. The Early Classicist house was built in their time, in the 1770s and 1780s. In the Soviet era it was rebuilt and its appearance changed considerably.

Good to know Friedrich Sigismund Stern drew the manor in 1835. Its last occupants were the Aakre special boarding school and the Kuigatsi children’s home. The house and the steward’s house are protected heritage monuments.
