Peahoone on 18. sajandi lõpust pärit poolkelpkatusega ühekorruseline kivihoone. 19. sajandi algul lisati pargipoolsele küljele nelja sambaga portikus, mis andis hoonele klassitsistlikuma ilme.

Täna Pärast võõrandamist oli hoone 20. sajandi lõpuni kasutusel koolimajana. Lisaks mõnele kõrvalhoonele on säilinud omanäoline õhuline tellistest pitsmüür. Praegu tuntakse mõisa ümbrust Lahe nime all.

Põlgaste manor was created in the late 1600s, when it was split off from Krootuse. It first belonged to Georg Rothhausen; after the Great Northern War it changed hands often, and in the 1800s it was held for a long time by the Roths. Before the 1919 expropriation its owner was Erich von Oettingen. The house is a one-story stone building with a half-hipped roof from the late 1700s. In the early 1800s a four-column portico was added on the park side, giving the house a more Classical look.

Today After expropriation the house served as a school until the late 1900s. Besides a few outbuildings, a distinctive airy openwork brick park wall survives. Today the area around the manor is known as Lahe.
