Jõgeva mõis asutati 16. sajandi lõpul ja 1750. aastatest kuni 1919. aastani kuulus see Manteuffelitele. Mõisa nimi on seotud asukohaga Pedja jõe saarel.

Jõgeva manor was founded in the late 1500s, and from the 1750s until 1919 it belonged to the Manteuffels. Its name is tied to its site on an island in the Pedja River. The medium-sized stone house with an attic floor was probably first built in the first half of the 1800s, though it may be older. At that time the half-hipped house had a three-window second-story superstructure on its facade. In the second half of the 1800s a veranda was added at the left end, along with a two-story front section that hid the center of the facade.

Today After expropriation a plant breeding station began work here, and the Jõgeva plant breeding institute that grew out of it still uses much of the manor. Several outbuildings survive, including the mill and large cattle-barn and stable complexes.
