In the Middle Ages Tori was the chief estate of the Livonian Order’s Komtur of Pärnu, and later a state manor. Its small, archaic wooden house in the Old Baltic style was built in 1738. In the mid-1800s the Livonian knighthood founded a stud farm here, where the Tori horse was bred, and built grand stables.
The small wooden house is a museum, and the grand stables recall the famous stud farm.
