Good to know The Baroque main house was built in 1755–1760 for Ebba Margareta von Stackelberg (née de la Gardie); wings followed in the 1770s. Otto Reinhold Ludwig von Ungern-Sternberg was said to lure ships onto the Hiiumadal reef with false lights and loot the wrecks. In 1804 he was exiled to Siberia over the robbery of a Swedish ship and the killing of its captain.
