Putkaste Putkas
Putkaste was first recorded in 1529 and went by several names before it became Putkas in 1606. Its owners included the De la Gardies, the Stenbocks and the Ungern-Sternbergs, and from 1816 to 1919 it belonged to the Stackelbergs. The present house was probably built after Baron Peter von Stackelberg took over in 1816. In the 1950s it was adapted as a state-farm office and community center.
