Kõima Kaima

Kõima, also called Tammaru, was founded in the 1700s in Mihkli parish. The one-story stone house was built around 1800, when the manor was pledged to Adolf Wilhelm von Oettingen; a neoclassical porch was added in the early 1900s. Later owners included Linde, the zur Mühlens and the Baranoffs. In 1859 Demetrius von Ditmar bought it for 110,000 silver rubles, and the Ditmars held it until 1919. After nationalization a school moved into the house.
