Kiikla Kiekel
From the late 1400s Kiikla village belonged to the Hastfers: Odert Johann von Hastfer came back after years of captivity in Moscow and founded a manor here, recorded in 1601. Because of debts it later passed to the Rosens, who replaced the timber buildings with stone ones in the later 1700s. In 1832 a single-story Classicist house with a low pediment was built.

Good to know Odert Johann von Hastfer’s father died in captivity in Moscow in 1568. The park avenue ended at a so-called goblet pavilion. In Soviet times the house held a collective farm office, a post office and flats.
