Täna 1987–1990 taastatud kindluselamu on külastajatele avatud.

Late Gothic tower house

Ida-Viru County · Lüganuse

In the 1530s the von Taubes built a fortified stone house by the Purtse River: storage below, living quarters in the middle and a defensive floor on top. In danger the ladder to the second-floor entrance could be pulled up, and a hypocaust in the cellar heated the hall. It later served as a barn, a granary and even a jail, until the ruin was restored with its defensive story and tower.

Today Restored in 1987–1990, the tower house is open to visitors.
