1566 andis Taani kuningas Muhu edelaranniku maad von Knorringitele ja mere äärde kerkis mõis. 19. sajandi lõpus ehitasid von Buxhoevedenid selle ümber neogooti härrastemajaks, mille esiväljakut ääristavad paekivist kõrvalhooned. Pärast sõda oli majas hooldekodu, kuni 1996 algas taastamine.

Täna Taastatud mõisakompleksis tegutseb spaahotell ja restoran.

In 1566 the Danish king granted land on Muhu’s southwest shore to the von Knorrings, and a manor rose beside the sea. In the late 1800s the von Buxhoevedens rebuilt it as a Gothic Revival house, its forecourt lined with limestone outbuildings. After the war it was a care home until restoration began in 1996.

Today The restored estate is now a spa hotel with a restaurant.
