1848. aastal omandas mõisa Otto von Krusenstern, kelle ajal valmis 1851. aastal esinduslik neorenessanss-stiilis peahoone: kahekorruseline lameda katusega kivihoone, mille lihtsat peafassaadi ilmestasid väike hulknurkne eeskoda ja katuserinnatise ehisviil.

Säilinud on mitu enam või vähem ümber ehitatud kõrvalhoonet.

Muraste manor was probably founded in the 1620s, and its first owner was Ericus Beck. In the 1600s and 1700s it changed hands many times. In 1848 it was acquired by Otto von Krusenstern, under whom an imposing Neo-Renaissance house was completed in 1851: a two-story stone building with a flat roof, whose plain main facade was enlivened by a small polygonal porch and a decorative gable on the parapet. The park side was grander, with a three-arched arcade at its center and a slender four-story tower at its right end. In 1857 Muraste became a secondary estate of Rannamõisa, yet the owners of Rannamõisa lived at Muraste from then on; from the 1880s until 1919 the manor belonged to the Weymarns.

Today After expropriation the house held a children’s home from 1920 to 1995, and in the 1980s a new building joined to it by a gallery was put up to the southwest for the home. The house later passed into private hands but stood empty, and a fire in 2001 destroyed its floors and roof. Several outbuildings survive, altered to a greater or lesser degree.
