Ühekorruseline barokne kivimaja sai 19. sajandi alguses eenduvad tiivad, kui siin elasid von Tollid. Selle pere poeg Eduard von Toll uuris Siberi Arktikat ja kadus 1902 jäämerel, otsides müütilist Sannikovi maad. Mõisa põldude alt leiti põlevkivi, mille järgi on nime saanud mineraal kukersiit.

Täna Taastatud peahoones tegutsenud polaarmuuseum on suletud ja mõis on müügis.

The single-story stone Baroque house gained projecting wings in the early 1800s, while the von Tolls lived here. Their son Eduard von Toll explored the Siberian Arctic and vanished on the polar sea in 1902, searching for the mythical Sannikov Land. Oil shale was found beneath the manor’s fields, and the mineral kukersite is named after the place.

Today The Polar Manor museum in the restored house has closed, and the manor is for sale.
