Enne 1919. aasta võõrandamist kuulus Keskvere mõis Ungern-Sternbergidele. Peahoone on arhailine keskse mantelkorstnaga barokne puithoone. Madalate seinte, ristnurkade, ruudukujuliste akende ja kõrge kelpkatusega hoonet dateeritakse ligikaudu 1750. aastasse, kuid see võib olla ka palju vanem ja ulatuda 17. sajandisse.

Täna Peahoone on eravalduses ja säilinud; algne rookatus on asendatud plekiga.

• Veel 20. sajandi algul oli selliseid arhailisi puidust mõisahooneid Läänemaal mitu, kuid praegu on Keskvere neist praktiliselt ainus.

• Aadlimõisana mainitakse Keskveret alates 1592. aastast, kui kuningas Sigismund kinkis valduse tatari väepealikule Leonti Nasackinile.

Before expropriation in 1919, Keskvere manor belonged to the Ungern-Sternbergs. The house is an archaic Baroque timber building with a central mantel chimney. With its low walls, corner joints, square windows and tall hipped roof, it is dated to about 1750, though it may be much older and reach back to the 1600s.

Today The house survives in private ownership; its original thatched roof has been replaced with sheet metal.

• As late as the early 1900s there were several archaic timber manor houses like this in Lääne County, but today Keskvere is practically the only one left.
• A mantel chimney stands at the center of the house.
• Keskvere is recorded as a noble estate from 1592, when King Sigismund granted it to the Tatar commander Leonti Nasackin.
