Holdre sai nime 16. sajandi omaniku Holleri järgi. 1910 valmis Woldemar von Ditmarile Riia arhitekti Otto Wildau kavandi järgi murdkatusega juugendlik peahoone, mille plaanitud puittorn jäi ehitamata. Hiljem oli majas kool ja pioneerilaager, nüüd ootab see päästmist.

Täna Eraomanduses peahoone seisab tühjana ja ümbrus on võsastunud.

Holdre takes its name from Holler, its owner in the 1500s. In 1910 a mansard-roofed Art Nouveau house was finished for Woldemar von Ditmar to a design by Riga architect Otto Wildau, though its planned wooden tower was never built. It later housed a school and a pioneer camp, and now it waits to be rescued.

Today The privately owned house stands empty, its grounds overgrown.
