Riidajast on teateid alates 1562. aastast ja 16. sajandist kuni 1919. aastani kuulus mõis Strykidele. 1762. aastal valminud pikk ja lihtne barokne puidust peahoone on üks paremini säilinud omataolisi Eestis. Ainulaadseks teeb selle pikkus ja kolm mantelkorstnat, kui tavaliselt oli neid üks või kaks. Sees on säilinud rokokoolõikelisi uksi, joonia puitsammastega saal ja barokseid aknasepiseid.

Täna Hoone ühes otsas tegutseb Riidaja raamatukogu.

Riidaja is recorded from 1562, and from the 1500s until 1919 it belonged to the Stryk family. Finished in 1762, the long, simple Baroque wooden house is one of the best-preserved of its kind in Estonia. It is unusual for its length and its three large mantel chimneys, where most houses of the period had one or two. Inside survive Rococo doors, a hall with Ionic wooden columns and Baroque wrought-iron window grilles.

Today Riidaja library occupies one end of the house.

• Two granaries in their original form flank the forecourt, one with half-timbered gables.
• The estate cemetery has a Neo-Gothic chapel of 1864, consecrated as a church in 2001.
