Pädaste Peddast
In 1566 the Danish king granted land on Muhu’s southwest shore to the von Knorrings, and a manor rose beside the sea. In the late 1800s the von Buxhoevedens rebuilt it as a Gothic Revival house, its forecourt lined with limestone outbuildings. After the war it was a care home until restoration began in 1996.

From after World War II until 1986 the main house was a care home. Pädaste is the only intact manor on Muhu.
