Lustivere Lustifer
Lustivere was recorded in 1552, and in 1725 Catherine I gave it to Sigismund Adam von Wolff, who built a Baroque timber house. In the 1800s the estate belonged to the Samson-Himmelstjernas and then the Wahls, who pulled down the old house and in 1871–1881 built a Neo-Gothic manor to a design by Reinhold Guleke; the octagonal tower was added in 1891. From 1929 the house was a tuberculosis sanatorium.

Good to know The old Baroque timber house was built in the “Dutch style.” In 1910 running water, drains and electricity were installed to a design by Wilhelm Sternfeld. Some interior details were carried over from the old house.
