Luke Lugden
The Löwenwolde family held Luke for centuries, and the Livonian War stripped it bare. In 1841 it passed to the von Knorrings, who shaped the famous park with its stepped ponds and lime-tree labyrinth. The main house, finished around 1900, later held a school, until the fire of 1944 left only an empty clearing.

Good to know R. von Engelhardt designed the main house, but only part of his plan was built. A school occupied the main house from 1922. The park pavilion was rebuilt on its old foundation in 2006; with no old photos to go on, its design is a free interpretation.
