Kehra Kedder
Kehra was founded in 1620 on an old mill site by the Jägala River, and its owners included the De la Gardies and the Torstensons. In 1820 Friedrich August von Maydell bought the estate and built an Early Classicist wooden house with a tall half-hipped roof and a pedimented central bay; wooden imitation quoins adorn its corners. Kehra was so small that it was called a one-village manor.
