Röa rajati 17. sajandi algul kõrgele künkale Tallinna–Tartu talitee äärde ja vahetas sageli omanikku. Umbes 1800 valmis ühekorruseline varaklassitsistlik häärber, mida Stackelbergid sajandi lõpus tiivaga L-kujuliseks laiendasid. 1980. aastate tulekahju muutis selle varemeks, kuid alates 2004. aastast on maja aegamööda uuesti ellu ärganud.

Täna Varemetest peahoone on eraomaniku käes taas katuse ja akende all.

Röa was founded in the early 1600s on a tall hill beside the Tallinn–Tartu winter road and changed hands often. Around 1800 a single-story Early Classical house went up, and at the end of the century the Stackelbergs added a wing that made it L-shaped. A fire in the 1980s left it a ruin, but since 2004 it has slowly come back to life.

Today The ruined house has a roof and windows again under a private owner.
