Täna Mõisakeskus on eravalduses; 1950. aastate tulekahju järel on maja katus endisest tunduvalt lamedam.

Ääsmäe was split off from Voore manor in 1663, and its first owner was Major General Fabian Berendes. Under the Toll family in the 1770s–1780s a two-story Baroque house rose, with a tall hipped roof, a façade divided by pilaster strips and a pediment with an oval window. The Baroque staircase in the hall and the stucco walls of the salon survive; from 1921 to 1988 the house was a school.

Today The manor center is privately owned; since a fire in the 1950s the roof has been much flatter than before.
